Panels sized right for your roof and your power bill. We use tier-one gear rated for cyclone country.
Store your solar and use it after dark. Federal rebate active right now — and with the right inverter, your fridge and lights stay on when the grid drops out.

Madison spent years installing solar for a large local outfit before going out on his own. He knows what a good quote looks like, what the typical upsells are, and what corners get cut. Send through the quote you've got and he'll give you an honest read — no sales pitch, no obligation.
Madison's a Whitsundays-based sparky. He quotes the job, runs the install, and answers when you call — direct line to the person actually doing the work, not a sales rep reading from a script. CEC accredited, fully licensed, on the tools every day.

We cover the Whitsunday region and surrounding areas. If you're not sure whether we service your area, give us a call.
We're building a tool to give you an instant estimate based on your roof and energy usage. In the meantime, give us a call for a free quote.
All estimates are indicative only, pending on-site assessment.
Give us a callThe panels we install are rated to handle the wind loads we get up here in the Whitsundays. We use mounting systems tested to Australian standards for cyclone regions (Region C). That said, nothing's indestructible — but these are about as tough as it gets.
It depends on your roof, your usage, and which Ergon tariff you're on. Most Whitsunday households on T11 or T12e see a solid reduction. We'll give you an honest estimate based on your actual situation — no inflated promises. All estimates are indicative only, pending on-site assessment.
We only install gear rated for coastal and tropical conditions. The panels and mounting hardware we use are tested for salt mist exposure, and the Whitsundays is exactly the kind of environment they're designed for.
Most residential installs are done in a day, sometimes two if it's a bigger system or there's battery storage involved. We'll give you a clear timeline before we start.
Yes. The federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program (started 1 July 2025) takes roughly 30% off the upfront cost of an eligible battery — it's claimed at the point of sale, so you don't pay the full amount and wait for a refund. The program is scheduled to run until 2030 with the discount tapering down each year, so there's a real benefit to acting sooner. We'll factor any current rebates into your quote and walk you through what you actually pay. Rebate eligibility and amounts depend on the system and current government rules; figures here are indicative only.
Only if the system is set up for it. A standard grid-tied solar system shuts off in a blackout for safety. To get blackout backup you need a hybrid (or backup-capable) inverter and a battery wired into a dedicated backup circuit, so when the grid drops, your fridge, lights, and a few power points keep running off the battery. We'll spec the inverter and the backup circuit during the quote so you know exactly what stays on.
It depends on what you're trying to do. If you mostly want to shift solar from the day into the evening to cut your bill, 10–13 kWh is the sweet spot for a typical Whitsunday household. If you want serious blackout backup or you've got a big evening load (aircon, pool pump, EV charging), you might want more. We'll size it off your last few power bills, not a guess.
Yes — that's a big part of what we do. Most systems can have a battery added by either pairing it with an AC-coupled battery (works alongside your existing inverter) or swapping in a hybrid inverter. We'll tell you straight which option suits your existing gear and which gives you the best bang for the rebate.
Yeah — this is one of the easiest ways to squeeze more out of solar without spending big on extra panels. We can wire your hot water, pool pump, AC, EV charger or any other big load to a timer or smart relay so it only runs when the sun's up (or when your battery is full). For the smart-switch option you get app control too — flick things on or off from your phone, set schedules, see what's drawing power. Pays for itself fast on anything that runs daily.
We're Ergon-only up here so the choice is simpler than down south. Two main residential setups matter for solar+battery customers. Tariff 11 is the standard flat rate, same price all day, around 36c/kWh inc GST in 2025-26. Tariff 12E (the 'Solar Soaker') needs a smart meter and splits the day into three blocks: cheap 11am to 4pm (about 7c/kWh, the daytime sponge window), peak 4pm to 9pm (around 57c/kWh in 2025-26, dropping to roughly 46c/kWh from 1 July 2026), and a shoulder rate the rest of the time around 26c/kWh which is still meaningfully cheaper than flat T11. So 12E is a strong play for solar+battery customers because (a) the battery dodges the 4-9 peak entirely (and that peak is the whole reason 12E pays off), (b) the shoulder hours all sit below flat T11 anyway, and (c) the 11-4 window is dirt cheap if you ever need to top up the battery from the grid. Controlled-load options for hot water (Tariff 33 / 31) can stack on top. We'll look at your last few bills and tell you straight which tariff suits how you live, and we can talk to Ergon for you. All tariff figures are approximate, change each July, and savings are indicative only.
It's possible, especially for more remote properties in the region. Battery storage has come a long way. We'll assess your usage and location and give you the straight answer on whether it makes sense for you. Off-grid estimates are indicative only, pending on-site assessment.
We handle all the Ergon Energy paperwork — the connection application, metering request, the lot. Once installed, Ergon sorts out your feed-in tariff so you get credit for the power you export.
Yeah, we handle commercial jobs too — from small shops to larger setups. Commercial work has different requirements, so give us a call and we'll come have a look at your site.
Panels: LONGi (one of the world's largest tier-one manufacturers — strong warranty, proven in tropical conditions). Inverters and batteries: Sungrow. Their hybrid inverters are what give you the blackout-backup-with-battery setup, and the battery stacks are modular so you can size up later if your usage grows. We pick this gear because it actually backs its warranty — not because of installer margins. If a different brand suits your situation better we'll tell you straight.
All savings and performance figures mentioned are indicative only and subject to on-site assessment of your specific property.
